Gürhan Barkın Oflaz completed hisundergraduate studies in Industrial Engineering at Sabancı University andobtained his Master’s degree in Project Management from Queen’s UniversityBelfast. He subsequently completed the Financial Economics Master’s program atGalatasaray University in 2025.

Oflaz began his professional career in 2022at KPMG Turkey in the Forensic & Risk Consulting team. He took part in riskanalysis, process improvement, data analytics, and compliance consultingprojects for companies operating in the telecommunications, logistics,construction, and industrial sectors, developing solutions aimed at assessingoperational structures and increasing efficiency.

Following his consulting experience atKPMG, Oflaz transitioned into the real estate development sector and continuesto manage all stages of development processes for projects focused oncommercial, tourism, and residential uses. He coordinates a multidisciplinaryin-house team to ensure that all technical, financial, and operational aspectsof the projects progress in a coherent manner. In this context, he oversees theentire process as a whole—from land and project development processes toconcept and functional planning; from feasibility studies to the preparation ofcash flows; from investment analyses such as IRR and NPV to the development ofarchitectural and engineering disciplines; and from tendering, procurement, andbudget management to progress monitoring and work schedule control. Guiding theconstruction site process from the office side, maintaining quality standards,and designing operating models for commercial and tourism functions are alsokey components of his responsibilities.
