Nuri Tezel completed his bachelor’s studies at Marmara University and his master's degree at the University of Leeds. He began his career in the Audit departments of Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young,where he served as Manager and Senior Manager and later, he joined Sabancı Holding as Internal Audit Manager.

He served as CFO at Enka Pazarlama between 2005 and 2008, at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen between 2008 and 2011, and at Soyak Holding between 2011 and 2012.

As of May 2014, Cem Nuri Tezel continued his career as CFO at Assan Aluminum, a subsidiary of Kibar Holding. In December 2018, he was appointed as the Group CFO at Aksa Energy, one of Turkey’s largest independent power producers operating in Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa under Kazancı Holding.

Tezel served as Group CFO at Aksa Energy until the beginning of 2022, and as of January 2022, he has continued his professional career as Board Member responsible for Financial Affairs at Smart Güneş Teknolojileri (Smart Solar Technologies).

In May 2024, Cem Nuri Tezel also assumed the role of Board Member at Yünsa, and in January 2025 he began serving as a Board Member at Goldfinch Global Capital, which he founded.

Cem Nuri Tezel also continues to serve as a Board Member of the Corporate Governance Association of Turkey (TKYD), Board Member of the Yünsa, and Board Member of the Smart Güneş Teknolojileri.
